I can honestly say I'm glad, I'm gonna give it a listen when it comes out.

Whenever a band says they're going "back to basics" it means their next album will suck and sound nothing like their old stuff.

Don't say that please, KoRn just announced the same thing not long ago.

KoRn has said that with every album since Follow the Leader. Granted, I've only heard maybe 1 song from 3 different albums post-Issues, so maybe they have done it at some point since then, but nobody I know who has checked out their newer albums has been like WOW YOU GOTTA HEAR THIS! THEY WENT BACK TO THEIR ROOTS!

Yeah but they always admitted they were doing sometyhing "experimental", so I never expected something like their first album.
None of their old albums is old-school, but yeah, I chose to believe them this time :)

Why would Green Day go back to selling 400 cd's? What fuck is this. 39smooth sucked ass, Kerplunk was ok. Straight up. Those songs played live on the other hand are great. People mistake the sound of a band with the hunger of a band. Green Day will never have that hunger again. And though they may or may not be "with the times" now, they overall make better music sound level of thinking.

Wait, I think that a lot of people want Green Day to go back to basics, plus they've already got a big name, I think they would still sell a whole lot.

I agree about the fact that they're not angry anymore though, an old-school album would probably sound a bit forced in a way maybe.

This article to me means BJ is making the band suffer his old amp. That's all.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Green Day said that after Warning, in terms of music.

I didn't think 21CB was bad, it was pretty good...except for that 21 Guns song. That being said though, American Idiot was atrocious. My biggest complaint of all is just how Green Day dresses and conducts themselves.

I would think you would've loved that because you're such a superficial chauch.

Know your Enemy is easily the worst song on that album.

Green Day seem to have always been a kind of uncool band to like, partly because of how they act. The eyeliner seems to be the equivalent of the bright blue hair.

You hate everything. You hate 99% of people, you hate anything normal or whatever doesn't appeal to your extreme views.
